Healing is Hard, Hurting is Harder
Whether you’re hurting, healing or just interested in learning, I highly recommend this course on Individuation.
It’s a powerful path to healing and wholeness that has impacted me profoundly.
I hope it does the same for you.
Eyes Wide Open
My Individuation Journey
Knowledge was the medicine
I had just been diagnosed with adhd and was in the process of trying medication when this video found me. I watched it several times through, taking notes upon notes. I started, stopped, repeated, and took more notes. I sat with each concept feeling completely seen, terrified, and relieved at the same time. For the first time, I saw clearly the psychology of my wounded self. I saw how I had been moving through life and relationships as only half of me. I knew I had found the path to my healing and wholeness. I had started the journey some months earlier, but had been flailing around in the open waters. Yoga had opened the door to my awakening and the Divine timing of a good friend had helped me move toward my whole and true self, but this knowledge was the lifeline. This was the medicine.
Dreams became direct messages
When I entered the Night Sea Journey, I experienced a series of vivid dreams. For the first time, my conscious and unconscious in direct communication. Every night, I met a different part of myself - my Shadow, Persona, Animus, Ego, and The Self. It has been one of the most profound experiences of my life. On the other side, the lifelong work is just beginning. Individuation is an ongoing practice that focuses on living from your center. It is a partnership with yourself that requires awareness and intention to integrate and embody all of the parts of yourself. To welcome them home. You are not magically healed, but your eyes are open. You’re able to understand and identify your patterns and projections when they show up and consciously make decisions that align with your whole and true self.
New meaning, different hope
The process of Individuation has taught me that no one can complete you except you. I have seen the patterns and projections my wounded self has repeated across my life and loves. I now understand how limited my capacity to love and hold love has been. I did not know how to give or receive love without condition or need. I have only ever lost myself in love. Being whole means being free because you are complete within yourself. That’s what I want most. It’s the only place real love becomes truly possible. Where we can love and be loved without condition or need. Where we can intertwine with another without losing ourselves, transcending the physical world into a spiritual union of deep devotion that always was and will be.
